PourhouseConcrete pump hire online ← Price a pump

Pump hire on account. Wet or dry.

One invoice a month instead of a payment per job, the same published rates every time, and dry hire for crews who run their own pump hand. Everything on the public page still applies — this one adds the account and takes away the explaining.

Two products, and they are not interchangeable

Wet hire is what almost every job takes. Dry hire is cheaper per hour and more expensive when it goes wrong, which is why it is gated.

Wet hire

Machine and operator

They arrive, set up, pump the pour, wash out, leave. Your crew places and finishes; nobody on your side touches the pump.

Line pump$130 / hr
Boom pump$230 / hr
Minimum on site2 hrs · 3 hrs boom
Establishment$130 · $190 boom
Concrete pumped$12 / m³
Hose past 50 m$10 / m

Rates ex GST. Same figures as the public page — an account changes when you pay, not what you pay.

Dry hire

Machine only

A trailer-mounted line pump towed to your yard or your site. You run it, you wash it out, you carry the blockage.

Trailer line pump, day$420 / day
Weekly$1,650 / wk
Delivery and pickup$180 return
Hose, 20 m sections$45 / section
Returned unwashed$390
Damage bond$1,500 held

Rates ex GST and our estimate, not a quote. Fuel, grout and priming material are yours.

Dry hire is gated, and it stays gated. The account has to name a pump hand with current experience on the machine, the pour address has to be on the booking, and the bond is held before the trailer leaves. A blocked line under pressure hurts people. If nobody on the crew has run one, take wet hire — it is the cheaper mistake.

What the account changes

PaymentOne invoice on the 20th of the month following, instead of paying per job before the pump moves. The public flow holds the booking until payment clears; an account does not wait.the point
BookingSame board as everyone else: every operator covering the site is asked at once, and you pick from whoever comes back available.
Your regularsOperators you have used before are marked on the board, and asked first by a few minutes. They are not cheaper — the price is published either way.
RatesNo trade discount on the machine. Pump operators do not discount hours, and pretending otherwise would mean either lying about the rate or squeezing the operator.
CancellationFree until 4pm the day before. After that the operator has held a slot they cannot refill, and it is charged at the minimum: $390 line, $880 boom.
Who is liableUnresolved, and it matters most here. On wet hire the operator runs the machine. On dry hire your crew does. Where our liability sits in either case is a question for a lawyer, and the conditions of sale are not finished.

Open an account

Two working days, and we need three things

Company name and NZBN, the site contact who will be on the phone when a truck is late, and — for dry hire — who your pump hand is and what they have run.

Concept only. Nothing is submitted and no account exists.

Can I put dry hire on the account from day one?
No. Wet hire opens with the account; dry hire is added once we have the pump hand's name and the bond arrangement in writing. It is one extra conversation, not a probation period.
What happens if the pump blocks on dry hire?
It is your pour and your machine for that day, and clearing a blocked line is the dangerous part of pumping — a line under pressure does not stop being under pressure because the job stopped. We will get you an operator if one is free, charged as a call-out. This is the honest reason dry hire is cheaper per hour.
Do I still get the price before I book?
Yes. That does not change on an account: the itemised figure is on screen before anything is sent, and it is the figure on your monthly invoice.
Can I book the same operator every time?
You can pick them every time they come back available, and they are asked first. What we will not do is pretend they are available when they are not — a board that always shows your favourite is a board you stop trusting.
